Yes, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg paid Rs 76, 000 to a Kochi boy to buy
the Uniform Resource Identifier (URL) maxchanzuckerberg.com.

The 21-year-old Amal Augustine, a B.Tech student from Kochi,
registered the url on godaddy, a website which sells url, for himself
on December 1 last year, the day Zuckerberg’s daughter Maxime Chan
Zuckerberg  was born.

Augustine got a casual mail from GoDaddy asking if he would be
interested to sell the url, if yes than how much.

Media reports say that the third year B. Tech student was not aware of
the actual buyer till the very end of the business deal.

The purchase was done by Sarah Kim of ICONIQ Capital, the wealth
manager of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg on latter’s behalf.
