Miracles do happen in real life, and Lucknow Rickshaw-puller Maniram is glaring example.
It happened when Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma, who was in state capital to receive ‘Yash Bharti’ award took a cycle rickshaw ride to reach UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s official residence on 5 Kalidas Marg.
Akhilesh was impressed with the rickshaw-puller Maniram after he told the CM that he was his neighbour, as he sleeps on the pavements of Kalidas Marg.
The CM handed over Rs 6,000 to Maniram, who hails from Raebareli, as a Diwali gift. Yadav also assured the poor man of a house in Lucknow, besides giving him an e-rickshaw and assuring Samajwadi Pension scheme for his wife.
The Chief Minister shared his picture with the rickshaw-puller Maniram on twitter and wrote:
“A traffic jam forced Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma to visit us in a cycle rickshaw. Lucknow Metro will help solve the traffic jams in city.”
